Why NUSC ?
In today’s ever-evolving society, educational practitioners are challenged with finding antidotes to rectify the all too common and varied challenges that exist in today’s school districts and communities. Schools, churches, and courts have begun to realize the significance of collaborating to reduce youth-related negative outcomes.
Fortunately, the New Urban Suburban Consortium is composed of educational practitioners who have proven to have the abilities to assist with such endeavors. Today’s school districts and communities are forced to find the balance between becoming the catalyst for promoting student success and responding to the ever-changing societal trends that will ultimately affect youth as they develop. Because of this, it has become apparent that practitioners who have been charged with promoting the achievement of youth professionally are invaluable to agencies that desire positive change.
Community leaders must not only be equipped with the resources to promptly respond to these challenges, but they must also have immediate accessibility to individuals who have a thorough understanding of how classrooms, school buildings, government agencies, and even youth themselves function internally. NUSC prides itself on being such a group!
OUR MISSION
The mission of the NUSC is to provide restorative and educational services that will allow richly diverse environments to develop into their full potential through the designing of innovative educational systems.
OUR BELIEFS
It is beneficial for school districts, agencies and community leaders to consult with practitioners who have obtained an understanding of how to promote success among youth, if they plan to make worthwhile decisions that positively affect communities;
Institutions and agencies must receive ongoing training if they plan to stay current on effective strategies and trends to promote success among youth;
Strategic planning and the development of management plans must be designed to improve and maintain the physical, emotional, social, and academic well-being of all youth.
OUR OBJECTIVES
Assist school systems, government agencies, and community programs in the development of frameworks that promote academic and social success among youth;
Ensure that individuals charged with promoting student success receive enriching professional development that equips them to function professionally;
Work with all stakeholders (i.e., schools, agencies, parents, students, etc.) to promote the development of proactive measures that reduce the “school-to-prison pipeline.”

About the team…
The New Urban Suburban Consortium (NUSC) is an organization that composed of and utilizes experienced practitioners who understand the detailed and intricate processes of the internal workings of school systems and work closely with various government agencies. Rather than simply respond to data outcomes in theory, we have obtained the experiences that allows us to interpret data outcomes, so that effective and appropriate change can be implemented through our services. NUSC’s primary goal is to strengthen educational environments and communities.
NUSC’s Administrative Team are knowledgeable individuals who have all served as teachers, school administrators, central office instructional leaders, and central office discipline leaders. Each NUSC representative has provided years of service to their various roles within educational and non-educational settings and are quite familiar with the necessary components required to promote success among youth.
We hope to become the stimulus that encourages growth within educational environments and agencies as they work to design their internal metrics. We strive to raise the bar of excellence for school districts, agencies, and communities.
